Hasta 100 o 500 dólares de regalo en un programa de hoteles (y de yapa estatus elite)

El blog brasileño Mestre das Milhas ha encontrado una promo increíble: cómo obtener 100 dólares de regalo en un programa hotelero, con los pasos que seguidamente explico.

Hace un tiempo, te contamos acerca de este programa a través del cual podíamos conseguir noches de hotel gratuitas (bah, sólo pagando las tasas): HOTEL GRATIS en Las Vegas U.S.A. (sólo abonando tasas)

Esta alternativa de conseguir hotel gratis, era auspiciada por la cadena de hoteles Caesars, cuyo programa de recompensas se denominaba Total Rewards.

Actualmente, el programa Total Rewards pasó a llamarse Caesars Rewards.

Paralelamente, surgió una asociación con la cadena Wyndham (cuyo programa de recompensas se llama Wyndham Rewards).

Entre estas idas y vueltas, resulta que ambos programas están enlazando sus cuentas:

  • Si tenés un estatus elite en Wyndham Rewards, Caesars Rewards te regala estatus elite (matchea estatus de un programa con estatus del otro) mas 100 o 500 dólares para una cena de celebración, más una estadía de 4 días en un hotel de Bahamas y otros beneficios. Podés ver todos los beneficios de las categorías elite de Caesars Rewards en este link.

Como podrás ver, los beneficios dependen del estatus que alcances. Los 100 o 500 dólares en una cena corresponden a los dos niveles más altos:

  • Y acá viene lo lindo: si no tenés estatus elite en Wyndhan Rewards, este programa equipara la categoría que tengas en cualquiero otro programa de hoteles

 

Para esto último, nos va a servir nuestro estatus en CUALQUIER programa, sea Accor, o IHG o Hilton. Estos son algunas de las cadenas reconocidas por Wyndham Rewards para matchear (noten que también podremos elegir «Otros»):

Hasta acá, podemos clarificar estos puntos:

  1. Tenemos estatus elite en algún programa de hoteles, o conseguimos el Oro en Hilton, con la Amex Platinum de Compra.
  2. Con este Oro de Hilton, o el estatus en cualquier programa de hoteles, matcheamos al mismo nivel en Wyndham Rewards.
  3. Una vez que tengamos el estatus en Wyndham Rewards, matcheamos el estatus en Caesars Rewards.

 

Para todo esto, tenemos que tener cuentas en todas estas cadenas.

  1. Si no tenés cuenta en Hilton Honors, podés obtenerla como te contamos, en este link. No te olvides de pedir tu estatus Oro, y esperar a que te llegue, antes de seguir con este estatus match. Tu tarjeta se verá así:

¿Difícil? Tranquilos, relean hasta acá, que quede claro como es la equiparación entre uno y otro programa, y una vez que lo tengan un poco más claro, continuamos.

Luego, seguiremos estos pasos:

PASO 1: Haremos el estatus match desde nuestro programa (en el que tenemos estatus) al de Wyndham Rewards, a través de este link.

Antes del estatus match, mi cuenta se veía así

Hicimos el estatus match con estatus Gold de Hilton Honors. Agregamos en formato JPG nuestra tarjeta dorada, y aceptamos. El sistema informó que recibiríamos noticias de 24 a 48 horas desde ese momento.

Actualización 06/02/2019 19:00 horas

Casi 48 horas luego de presentar este pedido, recibimos un mail informando que nuestro perfil fue actualizado. Ingresamos ansiosos a nuestra cuenta, y vemos nuestro nuevo estatus en Wyndham Rewards: SOMOS DIAMANTE, la categoría más alta en este programa (y sólo presentando categoría Oro en Hilton);

Y dentro de los beneficios, encontramos varios interesantes:

  • Upgrade a suite en cada una de tus estadías, incluso en estadías con noche de recompensave gratis o ve rápido. Más información.
  • Tómate tu tiempo y llega tarde con estilo. Duerme o ve por unos segundos al desayuno buffet. Descansa plácidamente y disfruta de Late Check-Out sin cargo. Solo pregunta. Más información.
  • Ya sea que el avión llegué temprano o que necesites tiempo de preparación adicional, puedes hacer un check in temprano y descansar. Tan solo pregunta. Más información.
  • Nuestro WiFi es tu WiFi. Los miembros de Wyndham Rewards lo disfrutan gratis. Más información.
  • Upgrade en alquiler de autos Avis y Budget (solo en EE. UU. y Canadá)
  • Regala una membresía de nivel Gold a un familiar o amigo cada año. Una oportunidad de oro. Límite de una membresía por año calendario.

 

PASO 2: UNA VEZ OBTENIDO EL ESTATUS en Wyndham Rewards, y sólo a partir de este momento, haremos el estatus match entre Wyndham Rewards y Caesars Rewards, a través de este link.

Cómo este link arrojaba error luego de cargar los datos, nos comunicamos telefónicamente con Wyndham en Argentina

No atendieron en inglés, podés solicitar hablar en español. Nos pidieron varios datos para confirmar identidad.

Luego de ello, les explicamos que estábamos intentando hacer el matcheo de Wyndham a Caesars, tras lo cual nos solicitaron el número de membresía de Caesars. Con este dato, la telefonista nos informó que solicitó el estatus match directamente desde su sistema,  y nos dijo que debíamos esperar de 7 a 10 días para obtener el estado Diamante en Caesars (el estatus match igualará en este caso ambos niveles).

El gran Juano Flyer encontró otra opción para transferir el estatus desde el programa Wyndham Rewards a Caesars Rewards.

Sencillamente, utilicen este link y en el primer cuadro, completen los datos de su cuenta de Wyndham. El sistema prometerá cambios en 7 días hábiles.

Conclusión

Esta es una manera genial de conseguir estatus en Wyndham Rewards y Caesars Rewards, y, de paso, ver si con nuestro novedoso y gratuito estatus llegamos a esa cena de 100 o 500 dólares.

Status Match Terms & Conditions:

Pursuant to these terms and conditions (the “Status Match Terms”), each member of any hotel loyalty program identified below (each individually, a “Hotel Loyalty Program” and collectively, the “Hotel Loyalty Programs”) who has achieved status in such program pursuant to its terms and conditions is eligible to apply to match his/her Hotel Loyalty Program status to the equivalent Member Level of the Wyndham Rewards Program, as set forth in the chart here (the successful completion of such process hereinafter referred to as the “Status Match”).

To request the Equivalent Member Level, an eligible Hotel Loyalty Program member (an “Applicant”) must: (i) visit https://www.wyndhamhotels.com/wyndham-rewards/status-match and either sign into their existing Wyndham Rewards account, or complete and submit the “Join Wyndham Rewards” form to become a Wyndham Rewards Member; and (ii) complete and submit the Status Match Request Form, including proof of their Hotel Loyalty Program status. Upon Wyndham Rewards’ verification of an Applicant’s Hotel Loyalty Program status information, such Applicant will receive the applicable Equivalent Member Level. Member should expect to receive such validation via email between 5-7 days from submission of his/her Status Match Request Form. Such Equivalent Member Level will become effective upon such verification. Unless extended or superseded in accordance with the Wyndham Rewards Program terms and conditions (the “WR Terms”), each Wyndham Rewards Gold Member Level obtained pursuant to these Status Match Terms will expire in accordance with the WR Terms. In the event that Member completes fourteen (14) Qualifying Nights within such ninety (90) day period, his /her Wyndham Rewards Diamond Member Level will remain in effect through December 31 of the calendar year following the calendar year in which such 14th Qualifying Night was completed, unless it is extended or superseded in accordance with the WR Terms.

Members who obtain the Wyndham Rewards PLATINUM Member Level or Wyndham Rewards DIAMOND Member Level as a result of the Status Match will receive all of the perks offered to PLATINUM and DIAMOND Members, respectively, who earn such status as the result of completing the requisite number of qualifying nights at participating properties, with the exception of the points bonus (3,000 Wyndham Rewards points for PLATINUM Members and 6,000 Wyndham Rewards points for DIAMOND Members). For clarity, the point bonus is not available to members who have obtained their Platinum or Diamond Member Levels via the Status Match.

Should Wyndham Rewards be unable to verify a Member’s Hotel Loyalty Program status, as determined in its sole discretion, the Hotel Loyalty Program member will not receive the Equivalent Member Level.

For clarity, Hotel Loyalty Program members must be or become Wyndham Rewards Members to apply for the Status Match.  Any Applicant who has already obtained the Wyndham Rewards Member Level this offer otherwise would have afforded them will retain such preexisting Wyndham Rewards Member Level in accordance with the WR Terms, and the Status Match will be deemed ineffective.

Any Hotel Loyalty Program member who completes a Status Match in accordance with these Status Match Terms, and subsequently upgrades to the subsequent status in the respective Hotel Loyalty Program, will be eligible, at the time of such upgrade, to apply for a Status Match to the subsequent Wyndham Rewards Member Level in accordance with these Status Match Terms.

Status Match eligibility is not transferable and may not be substituted for or combined with any other offer. A Member Level earned pursuant to this Status Match cannot be transferred, purchased or sold. A Member’s Hotel Loyalty Program status and the benefits applicable to each such status are subject to the applicable Hotel Terms and Conditions. A Member’s Wyndham Rewards Member Level status and the benefits applicable to each Member Level are subject to the full WR Terms. *Wyndham Rewards Status Match for Caesars Total Rewards Platinum, Diamond and Seven Stars Members Terms & Conditions:

Pursuant to these terms and conditions (the «Status Match Terms»), each member of Caesars Entertainment’s loyalty program, Total Rewards, («Total Rewards») who has achieved the Platinum, Diamond or Seven Stars Tier in such loyalty program pursuant to the Total Rewards terms and conditions (the «Total Rewards Terms»), is eligible to apply to match his/her Total Rewards Tier status to the equivalent Member Level of the Wyndham Rewards Program, as set forth in the below:

  • Platinum Total Rewards Tier = Wyndham Rewards Platinum Level
  • Diamond Total Rewards Tier = Wyndham Rewards Diamond Level
  • Seven Stars Total Rewards Tier = Wyndham Rewards Diamond Level

(the successful completion of such process hereinafter referred to as the «Status Match»).

To request the Equivalent Member Level, an eligible Total Rewards member (an «Applicant») must: (i) visit www.wyndhamhotels.com/wyndham-rewards/total-rewards/status-match and either sign into their existing Wyndham Rewards account, or complete and submit the «Join Wyndham Rewards» form to become a Wyndham Rewards Member; and (ii) enter their Total Rewards account number, date of birth, zip code, and email address in the provided fields.
